They will be helping our client solve an ongoing struggle with waste oil coming from power generation, a pressing issue that demands eco-friendly and cost-efficient disposal solutions. In the search for innovative answers for this challenging task, the students have set sail to a beautiful Island in the Caribbean for a field trip. Quite the way to do your bachelor’s thesis, right?
This is not a unique case at BWSC. For years, BWSC and the Copenhagen School of Marine Engineering and Technology Management have fostered a fruitful partnership. We offer the talented marine engineers of this school the opportunity to dive into technically challenging projects for their thesis, and the discovered results often translate into real-world implementations.
After a successful thesis defense, many launch their professional careers with BWSC, and let their unique skills and interests pave the way for their future. Some stay and continue to be an integral part of our mission, while others venture out to other major Danish players, who share our vision of striving for Net-Zero, driving the green transition and creating a sustainable future for all.

This September 28th, BWSC once again participated in Career Day at the Copenhagen School of Marine Engineering and Technology Management (Maskinmesterskolen København) in Lyngby.
We were thrilled to be a part of this event again and to have the chance to connect with talented students who are shaping the future of marine engineering. We shared with them how BWSC can be a great place to kick-start a career as an engineer, either through our hands-on internship programs or our full-time positions for recent graduates.
This fair always turns out to be a place for us to meet great talent. Currently, we have two bright interns that found us at our last Career Day and that have now gone on to doing exciting projects in places like the Bahamas!
If you are curious about our career opportunities as a student, you can read more in our student page here. You can also find out how it is like to be a BWSC employee here.

At BWSC, we believe in giving back to the communities that have received us with open arms. We are very happy to share that this summer we carried out a furniture donation to the SOS village D’Enfants in Benin.
This local organization dedicates itself to working on the development of children lacking parental support. With the donation of the furniture from our Danish headquarters, we hope to enhance the comfort and well-being of these children and help foster a productive environment for learning.
To celebrate, we had a heartfelt ceremony on the 5th of August, at the organization’s site in Cotonou. Here we got to meet the joyful children who will benefit from this donation, and the dedicated members of the organization that made this possible – who we especially thank for this opportunity.
We are genuinely proud to be part of this initiative and look forward to more meaningful projects like this!
This month, BWSC headed to the UK’s largest recycling, resource & waste management event – the RWM Expo, taking place in Birmingham on September 13-14.
This event provides the ideal platform for networking, staying up to date with industry trends and promoting sustainable resource management. RWM fosters insightful discussions, showcases the latest green technologies and serves as a global launchpad for innovative solutions.
What we most enjoyed at this event, though, was the chance to connect with professionals and companies of all backgrounds and needs. Whether they were a developer, EPC contractor, or utility seeking energy plant solutions, we loved to chat and getting to know them.
Our team of experts was all set to set to answer your questions and enjoyed discussing how BWSC is helping shape a greener tomorrow. We offer comprehensive services for power and green energy plants that we had the pleasure to to discuss with many of you.
It was possible to book a meeting with us via the ESS Expo app or simply drop by our booth R-L293. Let’s explore your waste management needs and our innovative solutions together more at future events!
