Inaugurated in 2019, this state-of-the-art facility, equipped with 7 engines delivering 127 MW, already meets half of Benin’s energy needs.

With the renewed partnership with SBPE (Société Béninoise de Production D’Électricité) and the trust extended to us by its CEO Mr. Eméric TOKOUDAGBA, we will continue delivering reliable power up to 80% of the nation’s consumption and providing the energy security and supporting the SBPE ambition of becoming energy independent.

Highlights of our continued commitment:

– Ensuring energy reliability with dual-fuel capability, supporting biofuel and waste oil usage.
– Fostering sustainability with ESG training for 60 local employees.

BWSC has operated the Ichihara Biomass Power Plant in Japan since 2020, where our dedicated O&M team continues to uphold the highest standards of performance, efficiency and safety.

Building on last year’s successful annual outage, we approach this year’s current major outage at the Ichihara Biomass Power Plant with reinforced confidence. The outage will focus on extensive maintenance and upgrades aimed at improving operational reliability and performance.

Despite the complexity and scale of the task, our dedicated team on site is dedicated to support these vital improvements. With meticulous planning and collaboration, workers are tackling significant challenges, to enhance efficiency and performance of the plant.

These efforts represent BWSC’s commitment to operational excellence and long-term sustainability at Ichihara.

We’re thrilled to announce that we’ll be attending this year’s district heating sector event in Poland once again!

Join us for the 28^th edition of this event, hosted by DBDH (Danish Board of District Heating) and the Polish Chamber of District Heating, from September 15th to 18th in Miedzyzdroje.
