Rabai Power Ltd wins prestigious OSH Awards in Rabai

We are thrilled to share that our dedicated team at Rabai Power Ltd, Kenya has recently been awarded two trophies in this year’s OSH awards.

The OSH award stands for Occupational Safety and Health and is an initiative by the Ministry of Labor in Kenya, recognizing the commitment of workplaces and individuals with good safety and health management systems.

Rabai Power Ltd was honored two prestigious trophies:

The Best Overall in OSH Practice – Nationally: This award celebrates companies that demonstrate exceptional leadership, commitment, and results in promoting safety and health in the workplace.

Overall winner in OSH practice in the Energy sector: This award recognizes outstanding achievements in workplace safety and acknowledges organizations that prioritize employee well-being and accident prevention in the energy sector.

The event took place on 28th of April, which was the World Day for Safety and was celebrated globally in commemoration and solidarity with the workers who have died or have been injured in the course of their work. It also promotes a preventative culture by creating awareness among workers on Occupational Safety and Health issues.

Kenya, being a member state, through the Directorate of Occupational Safety and Health Services joined other countries in marking the milestone day. This year’s theme was “Impacts of Climate Change on Occupational Safety and Health”.

At BWSC, we are committed to maintaining the highest safety standards in all activities, as we strive for continuous improvement in our safety practices. We prioritize safety and health, and these awards validate our ongoing commitment in this vital area.

We congratulate our team in Rabai for their dedication and hard work that led to this achievement.
