BWSC announces CEO transition

Nikolaj Holmer Nissen has decided to resign from BWSC to seek new challenges and will hand over the reins to Jens Peter Koch, who joins BWSC on 1 March 2023 and takes over as CEO no later than 1 April 2023.

BWSC has gone through a transformation from being a turnkey contractor to a technical service provider for power plants and other energy facilities. With our new strategy “Ever better energy” the direction is set for the future and focus is on accelerating our position as market leading O&M provider, develop our business within next generation green energy solutions while sustaining and growing our service business.

Michael Hedegaard Lyng, Chairman of the Board of BWSC says: “Nikolaj has been a driving force in the turnaround of BWSC where we have now achieved an essential milestone of a stable and profitable business while our pursuit of growth and improved profitability continues with our new strategy. I would like to thank Nikolaj for his contributions, dedication, and loyalty to BWSC and I wish Nikolaj all the best on his new endeavours.”

Nikolaj Holmer Nissen says: “I have been honoured to lead BWSC for the last four years, which has been a challenging era for BWSC. I would like to thank the Board, our shareholder and the BWSC team for their faith in me and their commitment to BWSC. I have found that this is the right time for me to seek new challenges and wish BWSC all the best on the continued journey.”

The Board is pleased to announce that Jens Peter Koch will join BWSC on 1 March 2023 and take over as CEO no later than 1 April 2023 allowing for a smooth transition. The task will be to continue the journey BWSC has embarked on by strengthening its position as a leading service provider and accelerating the green energy transition.

Jens Peter brings a commercial mindset and a solid leadership track record focused on driving and developing service businesses. He brings vast international work experience including living several years abroad. Before joining BWSC, Jens Peter worked 14 years at FLSmidth where his most recent position was as Vice President in the cement business heading the activities in the region covering Europe, North Africa, and Central Asia. Further to this, he was responsible for global marketing within the cement business. His prior roles include Head of Sales, Head of Service, Business Developer and Chief Electrical Engineer. Jens Peter holds a M.Sc. in Electrical Engineering from the Technical University of Denmark, an Executive MBA from INSEAD and a Graduate Diploma in International Business from Copenhagen Business School.
